I can remember listening to Bruce Hornsby’s The Way It Is album on my walkman, as I handed out food to the homeless in NYC subway stations. It was 1986. By 1988, I was back in my hometown, New Orleans, and wearing out his second album, Scenes From the Southside, on my turntable. This slide show was inspired by The Old Playground and shot in two days at an old Basket Ball your in the 12th ward.
